A lawyer who has undergone rehabilitation from drug addiction, with two ex-wives, a daughter and a passion for cars, finds himself at the center of a high-profile case after the death of a friend. This is accompanied by practice and a large number of minor matters with which he cannot cope. This intriguing premise creates a backdrop full of possibilities for a legal procedural series.
It’s engaging, entertaining and enjoyable from start to finish – highly recommended
The show takes that, adds a strong cast, well-thought-out and delivered dialogue, and an interesting plot, and goes with it at a good pace. Some of the cinematography is awkward, especially shots with variable focus and some orange tints, although overall it works as it should. Mickey’s driver, Izzy, is often used as a plot device, but despite the obviousness, it feels natural and relevant to the narrative.
