In THE GUTTER, when oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) gets a job tending bar and kicking the shoes at the local AlleyCatz bowling alley, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When money problems threaten the AlleyCatz, Walt is pressured by ex-professional bowler and current alcoholic champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the world’s greatest bowler. While Walt’s love of big checks and in-your-face style dominates the professional tour, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angel Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), furiously try to turn off Walt. flame before which it burns too hot.
